Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vatexs mobile app (the "App"), operated by Vatexs ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Vatexs

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Buying and selling

Vatexs is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers — we are not a party to the transactions between them. Sellers are responsible for accurately describing their items and fulfilling orders; buyers are responsible for reviewing listings before purchasing. You agree not to list items that are illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or that infringe on someone else's rights.

4. Payments and fees

Payments made through the App are processed by our payment partner, Paystack. When a sale completes through in-app payment, Vatexs deducts a commission from the sale price before the remaining balance is paid out to the seller. Funds are held until the buyer confirms receipt of the item, or as otherwise described in the App.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: misrepresent yourself or an item you're listing; harass or abuse other users; attempt to circumvent in-app payments to avoid fees in a way that removes buyer protections; use the App for any unlawful purpose; or attempt to interfere with the App's normal operation.

6. Content you provide

You retain ownership of the photos, descriptions, and messages you submit through the App. By posting content, you grant Vatexs a license to display and distribute it within the App for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

6A. Objectionable content and abusive users — zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Vatexs. You must not post, send or share content that is sexually explicit, exploits or endangers children, promotes violence, hatred or discrimination, harasses or threatens others, is fraudulent or deceptive, or advertises illegal or prohibited items (including illegal drugs).

How we enforce this:

• Filtering. Listings and messages are automatically checked, and content containing objectionable language is rejected before it is published or sent.
• Reporting. You can report any listing, message or user from within the App (the "…" menu on a listing or chat, or press and hold a message).
• Blocking. You can block any user. Their listings are removed from your feed immediately, you can no longer message each other, and the block is flagged to our moderation team. Manage blocked users in Settings.
• Action within 24 hours. Our team reviews every report and acts on objectionable content within 24 hours by removing it and ejecting the user who posted it, where the Terms have been broken.

Accounts that breach this section are permanently removed and may be reported to the relevant authorities. To flag something urgently, email support@vatexs.store.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by users, the truth or accuracy of listings, or the ability of buyers or sellers to complete a transaction.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vatexs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or from transactions between users.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
